Description

In today's Sumartin, the church of St. Martin with the Franciscan monastery is situated in the bay of Sitno (today's name Sumarin) on the easternmost cape of the island of Brač. At the beginning of the 18th century, on the ruins of a church, the monastery church was built, and next to it the monastery, with a rich library, with documents in Bosančića script (17th-18th centuries) and valuable Baroque paintings.
