Description

Fouras is a peninsula on the northern side of the Charente Bay. The village is known for its beautiful beaches and for Fort Boyard, an island with an ancient historic fort that lies opposite Fouras.

Navigation

The port is on the right bank of the Charente mouth. The entrance lights are on the jetty. Access is possible from 2 hours before until 2 hours after full tide. There may be strong southerly winds.

Berths

The port has 60 berths for beaching and 20 berths on moorings. The pontoons are floating.
