Description

The ruins of the Byzantine fortress from the 16th century are definitely worth a visit. The path starts at the restaurant and you are rewarded with a view over the island world. From there you can also continue the hike to the southeastern tip of the island at Rt. Rasohe.

Here in the Uvala Stupica Vela the Venetians are said to have landed with their ships when they took the Byzantine fortress and drove out the Byzantines. The name of the bay means - Great Trap - whatever is meant by it.
